Week 5 - Day 5

YOUR YEARBOOK QUOTE - YOUR LEGACY

Your yearbook quote says a lot about you. Will you quote a historic theologian, lyrics from a popular song, or words from an author? Your yearbook quote is your legacy. It reminds your classmates what you were like in school. What would your yearbook quote say about you? Would it be funny and goofy? Would it be deep and insightful? Would it state your beliefs? Read Acts 7:54–60. These verses are about Stephen, a disciple of the early Christian church, and about the legacy that he left. Stephen was wrongly accused of teaching false information about God and Moses. Those who opposed him stoned him to death (death caused by throwing stones/large rocks at a person). Stephen died for his faith leaving the ultimate legacy behind. What will your legacy look like?

TODAY'S DRILL:
How do you want to be remembered? Write down three things that you would like others to remember about you. Go and ask three people what they will always remember about you. Do these qualities match up? I challenge you to live your life, this week, in a way that you would like to be remembered. Make changes in your life that will allow you to leave the legacy you want.
