ACTING OUT LOVE
Read 1 John 3: 16-20
Love is an action. Love is something we are called to do. As you get older and look back and remember your school years one of the major things you will remember is who was kind to you and who was the bully in your life. Even now, you may remember a time when you were showered with love either by family or friends or maybe a time when you failed to love. The goal of this life is to love God and others. Loving others is shown through kindness, gentleness, forgiveness, and thankfulness. Are you treating others the way God would want you to treat them? Are you being judgmental? Are you gossiping? Are you excluding others because they aren't like you? Love is about self sacrifice and doing acts of kindness. Love is an action that is seen. Actions do speak louder than words. Thirty years from now, how do you want to be remembered?
TODAY'S DRILL:
Rewrite the key verse of the day in your own words. Ask a friend to tell you how well you express love to others. Ask for a way you can do better.
