TALK TO GOD

READ: Psalm 5:1-3

The key to every relationship is communication. I moved from West Virginia in 2001 and talk to less than five people with any regularity (my parents weekly, and a few friends monthly at best). When I go back to visit I often see a few people from "the old days" but it's always interesting to see how we have all moved on. Perhaps you had a best friend only a few years ago with whom you no longer talk and you both are way different now.

In our relationships with God, He is always there for us, but it is us who need to make the effort to talk to Him. Make it a part of your day! I suggest you begin tomorrow being like David (the writer of the Psalm) and let God hear your voice in the morning, laying your requests before Him, and wait in expectation for Him to answer your prayers.

TODAY'S DRILL:
Have a prayer time with God and talk to Him the same way you would talk to a friend. Write down how you feel afterwards.
