Read James 1:2-4
You have probably heard the saying: "Life's not fair!" You may have even heard that from your parents. Guess what? That statement is true! You may have already experienced the unfairness this world can throw your way. A divorce you had no control over, a friend who betrayed your trust, or maybe you did not make the basketball team. Did you know that God understands? Did you know that His Word warned us about such trials and temptations? Did you also know that He gives us guidance, like an effective teacher? He equips us with His Word; a "How To" manual when times of trouble come our way. God does not cause evil in our lives, but He can use our hard times to help us mature and learn if we let Him. Jesus is the best teacher you will ever have. In the school of Jesus, there is hope.
TODAY'S DRILL:
MIDDLE SCHOOL:
Think about a time when you felt really bad and nothing was going right in your life. How did you feel? What did you do? Did you talk to God during this time? Ask God to help you grow in this area. Ask Him to guide you when times are hard.

HIGH SCHOOL:
What trials are you facing today? How have you acted during this time? Whom have you turned to? God is waiting. Are you willing to share with Him and allow Him to coach and love you through this time? Have a conversation with the best friend you have. Ask God to use this time to teach and grow you spiritually.
